Hope Takes Early Lead in MIAA Commissioner's Cup Standings

FREELAND, Mich. - In the fall update of the 2016-17 MIAA Commissioner's Cup race, Hope owns an early lead in the standings after strong finishes across the board.

With first-place finishes in women's golf, men's golf, women's soccer, and women's cross country, Hope gathered 61.5 points to move atop the standings. Bolstered by first-place finishes in MIAA play by volleyball, men's cross country, and men's soccer, Calvin is in second place through the MIAA fall seasons.

The fall update is an unofficial look at MIAA Commissioner's Cup standings. The award is based on the cumulative performance of each member school in the league's 22 sports, 11 per gender; each school counts its top eight finishes by gender. The fall update includes each team's MIAA finish in four men's and four women's sports.
