The 2019-20 academic year marks the fourth year for Sheila Morrigan as the Director of Media Relations at the MIAA.

Morrigan is responsible for the promotion and coverage of all 23 NCAA Division III sponsored sports as the MIAA's Director of Media Relations. Morrigan oversees the MIAA’s traditional and social media campaigns, marketing, and public relations efforts. Morrigan also coordinates conference statistics and standings, MIAA Championship and Tournament promotion, photography, and maintaining records.

Along with serving as the conference coordinator for sports information directors in the MIAA membership, Morrigan also serves as the coordinator for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

With an athletic commiuncations career that spans more than 20 years, Morrigan has worked at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Kent State University, and Oakland University. Morrigan began at UW-Green Bay, serving as the department’s assistant sports information director while working specifically with the nationally-ranked women’s basketball program along with nine of the university’s 16 intercollegiate teams. Among Morrigan's athletic communication efforts with the Phoenix were assisting with the implementation of a new athletics branding initiative, coordinating multiple Horizon League conference tournaments, and the promotion of nine Academic All-Americans during an 11-year span.

Morrigan then spent three-and-a-half seasons at Kent State, working with women’s golf, women’s basketball, soccer, gymnastics, and track & field programs. Along with serving as the media coordinator for the 2011 NCAA Gymnastics Championships, Morrigan aided in the media coordination efforts during Kent State’s appearance at the 2012 College World Series. Morrigan was the press box announcer for the Golden Flashes football team and assisted in the national coverage of 2011 NCAA Division I Wrestling Champion Dustin Kilgore.

Upon arriving in Michigan in 2013, Morrigan worked for two years at Oakland, coordinating communication efforts for swimming and diving, women’s soccer, women’s tennis, and volleyball programs. Morrigan was a part of three Horizon League championships, including Oakland volleyball's first-ever trip to the NCAA Division I Championship in 2014.

Morrigan volunteered athletic communications expertise at the 2004 PGA Championship, the 2005 NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four, and the 2001 NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four.

A 1998 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Morrigan was a four-year starter on the women's soccer team before graduating with a bachelor's degree in Communication Processes.
